Of course, any day trader knows that he/she must look for the on-line connection that is not prone to bottlenecks, crashes and intrusion. The problems can worsen at

market has already moved, or worse yet, your
order may not get filled at all!

the exchanges via a proprietary network server.
This type of "frame relay" connection is used by most
major banks and brokerages as their means of
order execution and data transfer. It is an advanced and reliable means of transferring data and is readily available on the market today and should be
completely separate from the internet. There is a
fixed cost associate with this service. However, in most day trader's opinions…. it's worth it!
There are also dial-up services with
modem-to-modem connectivity. This service is
highly recommended for clients who want the
speed and reliability of a frame connection but are
at a remote location. Look for a service that can provide both of these types of connections and then ultimately, you must decide which is best for you!
